We compose this world: wishing to make it better, we start with ourselves.

 

Picsters was built in 2013, as a home for those who want to escape the world for a while, seeking refuge in inspiring poems, stories and images. Through the pictures we use (either of our own, or pictures provided online for free use) we compose a vision of the piece that has been written.    

We thus combine poetry and other famous or infamous pieces of art with pictures and music, or pictures and music with a matching written work, hoping to help our readers get inspired in their daily lives. In this way, we aspire that our posts add a positive tone to their lives, or provide them with something to think about and find inspiration. 

There is power in words (Proverbs 18:21), and we choose to find and reproduce constructive art, bringing a positive tone of love and inspiration to this world.

All suggestions concerning new publications (whether, photos, videos, or other visual and written work) must include information that testifies to its authenticity. We will not publish stolen or unauthorized work. Any suggestion must include information about the author, owner and date that the work was completed. If the person sending the content is not its author or owner, they must prove their authorization to share the content (eg. verification by the owner, public domain content etc). Lacking this proof, the work will be rejected. 

Picsters admin(s) may research the suggested material to ensure authenticity in cases of doubt or when a violation has been brought to their attention. However, we are not responsible for proving the authenticity of published work and do not share the liability for stolen work that has been published without knowledge of its true ownership. This responsibility lies with the person who sends us the said work and claims its ownership. Persons found to have breached our policy will be also banned from commenting on Picsters, and have their material deleted until ownership is proven. 

Art is a form of expression. Let's keep it decent:

 Personal opinions on certain issues are welcome, but not when they are designed to aggravate the dignity of others. Therefore, make sure to form your content in a dignified manner.

Persons sending us sexually explicit, racist, discriminating and hateful content, or material designed or aimed to promote such content will also be banned.
