The home. The body. The life. You. Imagine your spirit dancing within and around the elements of what you hold most dear.

-Alexandria Riddley

The home. The body. The life. You. Imagine your spirit dancing within and around the elements of what you hold most dear. Your shell. This place that lets you find the refuge you seek every night from unwanted intentions of the crowd. It is what you are, or can be what you always wanted to be. Imagine that you lie at sea with your ears covered with its precious water. You feel your body dancing round with the waves, and your heart beating to its tension. It is one of the rare moments, when you find yourself alone in direct contact with nature. With your nature. It is one of the precious moments that you realize yourself. Your home. Your body. Your life. In its vastness, you can breathe.

Thodoris Bandelis, Decisive (2020)

And then you choose to rise in the surface. The voices of the world, yes, they offer a cruel comfort. So cruel you are eager to go back in, yet you resist yourself hoping to find your answers.

Their intension is vast. But they all speak in criticism:  Hide your body from the crowd. Now show it. Not as much as it takes to reveal your weakest endeavors. Not as much as it makes you hurt in their sight. Pain is bad, especially when it comes from the truth. No! Just a little. We just want to protect you.

Thodoris Bandelis, Melancholy (2020)

Yes, hide your weakness, not only from us. But from yourself. Only thus you become strong. Only thus you will never learn from its existence and its purpose in your life. Only thus you can let it sleep inside you, never to be corrected. Never to be used.  Do not endeavor to realize it! You will feel the pain in their presence. And pain is weakness in itself. Your willingness to correct does not bear worth. We are aggravated in its existence; we are safe in its rest.

Thodoris Bandelis, Temptation (2020)

Show your body to us, so that we feed our eyes with your skin. We become free in its will. We are satisfied in its existence, for it shows us how to rule. Your life is our dominion. We just want to show you the path to be free. Yes, be free of limitations. Throw them away like they are clothes you barely stand anymore. Trust your nudity to us. Do not feel betrayed in our game. We just have to be fed. We promise to hide your weakness in our voices.
